Update: A couple of months ago, my phone fell from the couch onto vinyl flooring. Not a scratch!!! The protective cover had enough cushioning to protect even though it looks like it wouldn't. Case still looks new after one year. It doesn't attract dirt -occasionally, some tiny lint or something will be on there and I just brush my hand over it once or twice and it's gone... never had clean this cover ever. If you do, though, try a single pass or two with a slightly damp (not wet) cloth (zero cleaning products) -should be enough.I bought my first iPhone for $200, so I had this case ready to go as soon as I got my phone. Put my sim card in then peeled off the plastic on the phone and slide it directly into this Cordking case. The fit is perfect... as in perfect... even the tiny holes for the speaker lined up exactly. I suggest sliding the phone into the case top first and then the bottom... a piece of the bottom lip twisted a teeny bit as I was trying to put it in and I noticed some resistance, so I just straightened it out and the bottom immediately slid onto the phone very easily. So, it's super easy to put on and takes about 2-3 seconds, but if you feel some resistance... check to see if the lip twisted a little instead of forcing it. It should go on very easily. All in all, took me less than 6 seconds. My virgin phone will surely remain unscratched on the back... I didn't even touch the back of the phone before it went into the case -this should ensure a good trade in value so long as the front glass doesn't scratch badly. I didn't touch the furry inside of the case but it looks so soft and inviting... like a mink coat for your phone -lol. The front lip is not super thick but is raised enough to make me feel like a normal sofa to floor drop would prevent it from scratching the front of the phone if it falls on a flat surface. It's up to you as to whether to invest in a screen protector, and I think most people should. Since I tend to drop my phone only in my home, I will take my chances without one and just be very careful. I tend to treat things gently, but a screen protector is best for most people -especially if you plan to throw it in a purse or pocket where keys may scratch it up or are prone to dropping it. Finally, let me end by saying the case allows for a secure grip and very pleasant feeling in your hand. It seems like it will clean easily. I have no problem using the one/off and volume buttons thru the case -great fit and great product.
