First off, I would like to say this kit is actually really really good for the money. I was looking for something that was fairly inexpensive, so I could put together a few videos for my workplace as well as instructional videos for some friends with my iPhone. This does that in spades, a very good carrying case, nothing feels cheap or flimsy in it. Comes with a good microphone and decent light. It was easy to set up for the most part, however, just one thing that I wish came with the kit was at least a small set of instructions to explain certain things. Keep in mind, I'm coming from a 100% newbie into this type of stuff, so, I didn't really have a good idea how stuff works when it came to this. So, here's just a few things I found out:1. The base that mounts the light and microphone doesn't have a cut out in the case, it's in the mesh pocket.2. The light, while decent, doesn't have a ton of run time, so keep that in mind.3. The microphone when plugged in, at least for my iphone 11, didn't have any indication that it was working. The only way I knew is I downloaded a decibel meter to test it. With an iphone 11 (I have no idea about android devices, or other iphone series) the microphone is just plug and play and it works.4. The microphone has two settings on it a bent line and a straight line, which in no way shape or form is described what they do, after some research I can tell you that the the bent line cuts out low frequency, which means that the sound of air conditioner, microwave, ceiling fan, etc. is muted. The straight line means that it will pick up these noises. So bent line reduces ambient noise, straight line picks up all noise.Hopefully this review helps some people out, this is a great product in my opinion, just needs a manual to help explain things to 100% newbies like me when it comes to vlogging and video recording.
